Admissions Appeal Timetable 2024-25 - will be updated for 2025/26 in due course

The Local Authority will let parents know when a place has been offered for the Foundation Stage on or around 16 April 2024.  For a period of 3 weeks following that date, parents are given the opportunity to accept the place offered.  At the end of that period, places not accepted will be open to those on the waiting list.  Applications for a place on the waiting list should be received by 15 May 2024.  Parents who are still without a place at St Lawrence may notify the school and the Local Authority of their wish to appeal.  The School will then arrange for an appeal to take place within 40 school days.  In addition, the Governing Body will consider the application to see if it meets accepted admission status.

For other year groups, applications in-year are considered by the Governing Body.  If a place cannot be offered, the pupil can be placed on the school’s waiting list.  However, the parent has the right of appeal and should lodge an appeal via Appeals at West Sussex Admissions.  An appeal will be heard within 6 weeks of the paperwork being lodged.
