Y2 Great Fire of London
To inspire the children with this term’s learning, we have organised a workshop at school to be hosted by The Rainbow Theatre Group, exploring The Great Fire of London. This will take place on Friday 24th October 2025.
The children will be immersed through the eyes of Samuel Pepys and transported back to 1665 & 1666. They will meet Charles II, explore the devastation of the Plague and experience the excitement and panic of the Great Fire of London. Part workshop, part show; the children will perform alongside the actors whilst being immersed in the story.
To encourage their immersion in the show, children are asked to come to school that day dressed as a character from 1666. This can be a very simple costume of dark (flour dusty) trousers and a plain light top, or apron.
The cost of this workshop is £4.47 per pupil. We ask that your contribution is made via Scopay or by cash/debit card at the school office.
